It was an honor and our privilege to cook and participate with our friends at tonight's Taste of Liguori at Liguori Academy — a private, non-profit high-school located in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood, dedicated to providing boundless opportunities to students.
Thank you to our teams from Suraya, Picnic, and Beddia, and thank you to all of the students and faculty for hosting such a great event. It was a privilege to be a part of it. Defined Hospitality is proud to be a donor for Liguori Academy.

"Create variety, bite after bite….”

Yes, our kanafeh is certainly Instagram-worthy. But it's also kind of good (…great). In fact, we think it's pretty perfect.
Enjoy this write-up of our famous kanafeh, and then come by any night and order our traditional Lebanese dessert of crispy kataifi and semolina surrounding melted fresh cheese curd, finished with rose blossom syrup and pistachios. As always, our desserts are the creation of our pastry chef, James Matty (.matty).
“It’s no wonder the dessert is one of the restaurant’s top sellers and that Matty hasn’t felt the need to change it over the years. Between the rose syrup-laden pastry, melty cheese, pistachio, and pillowy sesame pita, every bite is a gift.”

Suraya is a must-visit restaurant in Philadelphia's Fishtown neighborhood. The restaurant, named after the owners' grandmother, offers an authentic Lebanese dining experience that will transport you to Beirut. The market inside the restaurant is stocked with spices, rose waters, and fresh hummus that you can take home with you. In the morning, enjoy a cup of Stumptown coffee and a manoushe breakfast flatbread in their light-filled garden. Suraya's daytime cocktails are also worth trying.
