Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard is a national ice cream chain operating in 31 states with over 600 locations, offering a variety of frozen treats including Italian ice, frozen custard, milkshakes, sundaes, and signature Misto and Blendini creations. The company was founded in 1984 by former Philadelphia firefighter Bob Tumolo and his mother Elizabeth, who created their own Italian Ice recipe with fresh fruit. Today, Rita's still serves up their famous frozen treats made fresh daily.

To reach the ice cream shop and ice cream parlor located at Cottman Avenue Roosevelt Mall NE in Philadelphia by public transport, you can take the bus or subway and get off at the Roosevelt Mall transportation center. From there, it's just a short walk to reach your destination.

If you prefer to drive, take the Cottman Avenue exit from I-95 and head west towards the Roosevelt Mall. You'll find parking available at the mall itself, as well as on some of the nearby streets.
